Babar’s Statement can lead the team to astray

Recently Babar Azam gave two statements in a press conference related to the exclusion of Muhammad Haris and Aamir Jamal.

No doubt Babar is one of the best Player in Pakistani team but he needs to understand that he should remain down to earth and get rids of giving such statement which shows you are superior from some players and you are considering them inferior by pointing out so called their performances.

Imad waseem did the same thing when he was captain of Karachi kings and questioned about the inclusion of Muhammad Rizwan, the world is familiar what happened next.

If you Select Players on the basis of recent performance than what is the performance of hassan ali? Azam khan? and many other. First of all they must be in team but if not then Babar’s answer should be like that
“well Muhammad Haris and Aamir Jamal no doubt they are excellent players, they have performed very well but somehow we have to take 15 players in our squad, we have very limited options, it’s very difficult decision to made a team of 15 members for a tournament and to select 11 out of them for Playing against any team, Its all about combination, I have no doubt on their abilities, skills”.

Babar Azam said Aamir Jamal is a great test player and has to play more t20 cricket. If we counter this question like Why you are including Irfan khan niazi who played less matches than Aamir Jamal?
Iam not saying Babar’s intentions are wrong but he has to answer question like a professional, he has to build his communication skills. Journalist always ask you controversial question but you have to be prepared for them.
One of the factor behind the loss of Pakistan against Ireland is this, how can you win a match when you consider yourself superior than those who didn’t selected in a team. Don’t hurt them, they are also great players, it doesn’t sounds good if you didn’t select some players in you team and you have perfect answer on their exclusion and you just moke up on them by giving such statements.

Mocking someone regarding their performance can hurt their feelings and unproductive, Instead of this support them by suggesting some solutions and giving some motivations and showing your trust on them in future.
In the End, humans can make mistakes and babar is also human, we have to neglect it and move on.
